How to select the best size crate:
- While your dog is standing, measure your dog from the tip of their nose to base of their tail.
- While your dog is sitting or standing, measure your dog from the top of their head to the floor.
- Add 4 inches to determine maximum measurements. Remember, your dog should be able to stand up and turn around while in their crate.
Tip: Before selecting a crate size, please measure the area where the crate will be kept to be sure it’s a good fit for your home.

Does the crate require assembly?
Assembly requires no tools. To assemble:
- Remove from packaging and place crate on the floor with plastic pan on the bottom.
- Unlatch the side locks.
- Unfolded the top of the crate so it lies flat on the ground. Using both hands, pull upwards.
- Secure each panel.
Is this crate escape proof?
This crate is not escape proof. Please crate train your dog. For training tips, please see the instruction manual.
Does my dog have to be crate-trained to use this crate?
To make sure your dog adapts well to their new crate, we recommend following our crate training tips on the instruction manual and monitoring your pet closely during the first few days.
What is the best way to crate train?
Begin by slowly introducing dog to crate encouraging the dog with positive reinforcement. Allow dog to acclimate to the crate slowly. Always consult vet or trainer for specific training tips!
Can this be used for cats or small animals?
This crate is not recommended or tested for use with cats any other pet.
Is this crate airline approved?
Generally, wire crates are not approved for airline travel. Please consult with the airline prior to travel.
Can this crate be used in the car?
This crate is not designed for car travel.
Can the handle be used to transport the crate with the pet is inside?
The handles are intended to use only while the crate is folded.
Does the crate include a removeable pan?
This crate includes a removable plastic pan. Replacement pans are also available. Keep in mind, the Frisco heavy duty replacement pan is designed specifically for the Frisco heavy duty crate.
Can this crate be used as an exercise pen?
Crates are designed to den one animal only. It is not recommended to use a crate as an exercise pen.
Are crates stackable?
Frisco crates are not designed to be stacked.
What is the difference between the standard Frisco Crate and the Frisco Heavy Duty Crate?
The Frisco Heavy Duty crate has a thicker wire gauge.
